As part of the development of its Continuing Professional Training programs, the Faculty of Medicine of Tunis is pleased to inform you of the implementation of the Masterclass as a new postgraduate training model.
Masterclasses must include an in-person time slot of at least 15 hours.
A volume of hours, in distance, could be considered. The Masterclasses will have to prioritize innovation and practical training.
The Masterclass is coordinated by a single teacher. A co-coordination can be envisaged for the interdisciplinary Masterclasses with a maximum of two co-coordinators.
The coordinators must be affiliated with the FMT and be of rank A.

Themes of a Masterclass:
MASTERCLASS projects can cover one or more of the following themes
:

  • A transversal training on a theme that is interesting for several specialties
  • A sub-specialized training on a theme interesting to one or more specialties
  • Training responding to an imminent public health need of interest in one or more specialties

Target audience:

The Masterclasses organized under the aegis of the FMT are mainly of interest to practicing physicians and medical residents.

Masterclasses are organized in two sessions spread over the academic year. Masterclass projects must be submitted to the FMT order office according to the following schedule:

  • Submission of files between 05 and 31 January for the session ‘March – June’
  • Submission of files between 01 and 31 May for the session ‘September – November’

The Masterclass project file must include at least the following documents:

  • A application form to create a Masterclass, in the name of Mr. Dean of the FMT
  • A duly completed concept note (template attached)
  • A nameplate (attached model) intended for display on the website of the Faculty of Medicine of Tunis
  • The detailed program of the Masterclass
  • Non-university speakers and/or those practicing abroad can only participate in the training after a favorable opinion from Mr. the Dean. A concise curriculum vitae justifying their expertise in the theme of training and a form below (CPE-FR-13) must be submitted
  • The possible provisional budget of the training.

The DPC service can be assisted by ad-hoc committees for the study of Masterclass projects.
The definitive acceptance of the Masterclass projects is due to the Dean on a proposal from the DPC service.

Conditions relating to the conduct of Masterclasses:


• All the Masterclasses must be organized within the Faculty or in hospital premises attached to the FMT. Part of the training may be considered in third-party public academic institutions subject to validation by the Dean of the FMT.
• Masterclasses organized by the FMT must comply with the rules of good ethical and deontological practices, particularly in terms of human and animal experimentation and management of interest relationships.
• All Masterclasses will have to provide an evaluation adapted to the planned training. An evaluation by a pre-test and a post-test is mandatory.
• Obtaining the Masterclass certificates is dependent on attending all the training and validating the evaluation.
• Masterclasses organized by the FMT must be subject to anonymous evaluation by the learners.
• No commercial advertising can be accepted as part of the Masterclasses organized by the FMT.
• The coordinators of accepted projects are required to organize themselves with the DPC service of the FMT for logistical details.
